Worldwide Release of “South Seas Seduction” – March 13th

perf5.000x8.000.inddExcitement reigns in my house. Nearly one year to the day that I signed my contract with The Wild Rose Press for “South Seas Seduction,” the book is finally ready. It will release March 13th, with pre-order ready now.

It has been quite a trip. Signing contracts on-line was quite an experience – something I’d never done before. Then came the edits and edits and more edits. I learned about editing a galley, which is different from editing a manuscript. I found out I didn’t use Track Changes properly in Word which slowed down my editor, Trish. By-the-way, I loved working with her. Since everything is done via email, I hope someday to meet her face-to-face.

The day I received the mock up of my cover, I wanted to share it with everyone, but I had to wait. Every time I reached for the phone to call someone, I had to bite my fingers. I did call and share it with my good friend, Tina Susedik. Diana Carlile designed this fun cover.

When I met Diana at a conference two years ago and pitched South Seas Seduction, I had no idea she would become such an important part of my career. As we sat at the bar with her talking and laughing, I didn’t know she even designed covers. How lucky am I?

At this point, I need to thank Tina and Linda for helping me through this process. Tina for her guidance and Linda for her editing skills. She jokingly calls herself the “Grammar Nazi” and “Comma Bitch,” but I treasure her knowledge.

Blurb: Sheltered all her life as the daughter of an ambassador, Emma Labonte boards a small plane on a trip from Australia. One hijacking and a plane crash later, she finds herself on a deserted island and stranded with three different yet equally sexy men. With no hope for rescue, the four begin to carve a semblance of a life in their tropical setting. Closeness breeds curiosity, and naive Emma begins to wonder what it would be like to be loved by these three men. The adventurer Jack, Toby the intelligent doctor, and shy English professor Steve–each carve a special place in her heart. When her three men launch seduction in the South Seas, how can she resist?

So, without further ado, here is the link for the pre-buy. The book will also be available on the 13th on The Wild Rose Press website. If you don’t know, when you purchase a book from a publisher’s website, authors receive a higher royalty.

The Wild Rose Press:

Publication is Getting Closer and Closer

Somehow, probably because I’m still in a huge learning curve, I didn’t publish this post. I just noticed it was still listed as a draft. I actually wrote it on June 25th. Oops.

Yesterday I heard from my editor at The Wild Rose Press about the status of “South Seas Seduction.” It’s next on her list to edit. Hopefully I’ll be getting a cover soon, so I can share, share share. I’m getting so excited that my first “baby” will be published in a few months.

Meanwhile, I’ve been editing the next erotica I’ll submit to them and hopefully receive a contract for. I’ve been bummed that our weatherweather-clouds-thunder-storm-rain-39292745 has been wet and rainy this past June. I love editing outside, but the days on the deck have been few and far between. Maybe July will be better.

I’ve been asked to be part of my friend and fellow author, Tina Susedik’s blog. She is interviewing those of us who haven’t been published yet. I have to get my questions done before I can no longer say, ‘I’m unpublished.” I’ll certainly let everyone know when the interview will be posted on her blog.

Best get back to those “lovely” edits.

Well, Here I Go!

This is my first time blogging, and needless to say, I’m a little nervous. Of course, I’m nervous about many things related to publishing. Promoting, selling, editing, writing the next book, wondering what people will think when they read the current one.

I recently signed a contract with The Wild Rose Press for “South Seas Seduction,” an erotica involving three men and one women. This is so outside my comfort zone, but I actually enjoyed creating the characters, setting and sexual content of the

Right now I don’t have a publication date, nor a cover. I’m looking forward to receiving both.

I hope to write more blogs about my journey with this book and, hopefully, many more to come.

Until then,
