Trying, Trying to Keep Up

While I don’t have a date yet, publication of “South Seas Seduction” is looming. I can feel it lurking somewhere in the future. Right now I’m working on my first-round edits.

???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Even though I’ve had my blog for a while, I haven’t done much with it. I now have a website. I’m working on getting followers on my Facebook author page and Twitter. I’ve been following everyone I can with The Wild Rose Press and other authors.

I set up a Pinterest account and actually started a few boards and pinned to them. I finding this one the most enjoyable. Who wouldn’t love going through photos of hunka, hunka men and decide which ones to pin? But, again, it takes time. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Then there’s the zillion e-mails to read each day. I’m exaggerating, but if I don’t keep up, I find it takes longer to go through them.

I can’t believe how much time all this social media eats up. I’m wondering how to find time to work, eat and write – and the book hasn’t even been release yet.

How does everyone else keep up with everything?

Another One Bites the Dust

Authors are told that once one book is done, they need to get to work on the next one. While waiting for my first round edits for South Seas Seduction, I started on The Ranch, another erotic romance. I’m happy to say I sent it off to my editor this morning at The Wild Rose Press.

Now as I wait for the edits and to hear if TWRP will want The Ranch, I’ll start on the sequel, Weekend at the Ranch.

But I’ve also been asked to do an interview on Tina Susedik’s blog, so maybe I should get that done first. So much to do, so little time.

Publication is Getting Closer and Closer

Somehow, probably because I’m still in a huge learning curve, I didn’t publish this post. I just noticed it was still listed as a draft. I actually wrote it on June 25th. Oops.

Yesterday I heard from my editor at The Wild Rose Press about the status of “South Seas Seduction.” It’s next on her list to edit. Hopefully I’ll be getting a cover soon, so I can share, share share. I’m getting so excited that my first “baby” will be published in a few months.

Meanwhile, I’ve been editing the next erotica I’ll submit to them and hopefully receive a contract for. I’ve been bummed that our weatherweather-clouds-thunder-storm-rain-39292745 has been wet and rainy this past June. I love editing outside, but the days on the deck have been few and far between. Maybe July will be better.

I’ve been asked to be part of my friend and fellow author, Tina Susedik’s blog. She is interviewing those of us who haven’t been published yet. I have to get my questions done before I can no longer say, ‘I’m unpublished.” I’ll certainly let everyone know when the interview will be posted on her blog.

Best get back to those “lovely” edits.

Well, Here I Go!

This is my first time blogging, and needless to say, I’m a little nervous. Of course, I’m nervous about many things related to publishing. Promoting, selling, editing, writing the next book, wondering what people will think when they read the current one.

I recently signed a contract with The Wild Rose Press for “South Seas Seduction,” an erotica involving three men and one women. This is so outside my comfort zone, but I actually enjoyed creating the characters, setting and sexual content of the story.sexy-stockings-picture-woman-leg-39584610

Right now I don’t have a publication date, nor a cover. I’m looking forward to receiving both.

I hope to write more blogs about my journey with this book and, hopefully, many more to come.

Until then,

Anita
